Get ready to dig deep with this one! Learn about your brain, mind and body and how it entraps trauma from the very beginning. Dr. Van Der Kolk beautifully discusses the science behind our brains and what happens when we come from trauma. Grab some tissues and snuggle in as it will be a transformative read.

Auther Mark Wolynn boldly explores genetics and how most often inherited family trauma plays a significant role in the development of who we are. He also discusses how we can end the cycle of inherited trauma while simultaneously healing ourselves for our future beings as well as our future children. 
 

This is a great book by Jenara Nerenberg really sheds light on those of us who are neurodivergent! If you're looking to understand how we can fit in better or have a loved one you haven't quite connected with, START HERE! 
 

This is a great book by Ana Napawan PhD and a great follow up to the Self-Love Workbook for Women if I don't say so myself. Adding Joy into your routine certainly helps us be more aware of our goals, feelings and mindset. 

What is the next best thing to the first book of this, a WORKBOOK! Yup - you'll want this one to go with the chapter book as it has great discussion questions and additional content as well as amazing resources in the back!

This is a MUST if you're a parent! Thomas W. Phelan, PhD knows his stuff. I recommend this book to all my parents no matter the age of their kiddos! Let's face it, babies do not come with instructions and sometimes our own big feelings take control. Start here or go back to the beginning with Dr. Phelan. 
 

Who says Self-Compassion is outdated? No one.... This workbook has several points in accepting ourselves, building a stronger foundation as well as teaches us the trifecta of self-compassion! The authors definitely knew what they were doing with this one!

We all need a person and there is no shame in that! Author Lori Gottlieb talks about that in this book that offers a disarmingly funny and illuminating view on our lives from a clinician's perspective as well as her own experiences.
